| Abstract |
|
Individuals with schizophrenia commonly were unaware of their illness. With development of scales assessing unawareness of
illness, the concepts of insight have been changed and developed. Recently, unawareness of illness reflected neuropsychological
problems, especially related to prefrontal or frontal lobe function, rather than psychological defensiveness. Additionally, awareness
and attribution of illness could be separated problems indicated by anatomical studies. (Korean J Schizophr Res 2007;10:5-10) |
